Started in 2008 by Colin Trethewey and Scott Ledingham, we have an experienced team with journalism, public relations and new media/emarketing specialties. We purposely take on a small number of concurrent clients so you always have senior account reps working on your campaign.
Our two Principals are experienced PR professionals who work directly on every campaign. We focus on pitching all media contacts relevant to your story - both traditional and new media. We have valuable relationships with newsroom decision makers to ensure your story lands on the desks of editors, producers and reporters who can cover your story.
We also have PR contractors on staff who we utilize for broader mass pitching surrounding launches, news releases and overall media campaigns to ensure your story has the maximum reach to all relevant media outlets in a timely fashion.
Colin achieved his APR (Accredited in Public Relations) in 2013, a distinction held by only about 2 percent of the public relations practitioners in North America. Before co-founding PRmediaNow, Colin was a national technology correspondent for CTV news and he hosted a weekly TV show called Tech Now - part of a 12-year journalism career as a news, business and technology anchor and reporter.
His journalism career helped him master the art of presenting engaging stories about complicated technology concepts to mainstream news audiences. This is an invaluable skill in creating compelling stories for targeted journalists and newsroom decision makers. Colin has extensive contacts with business and technology journalists/bloggers/editors who are responsive to our pitches.
Scott Ledingham, Principal
Scott has over 20 years of a well-rounded PR background in sports, entertainment, technology and internet start-ups. Scott started his career working in various professional sports PR departments before moving on to tech/start-up PR which then led to starting PRmediaNow in 2008 with Colin.
Scott has established long-time media contacts in major markets across North America and online with top bloggers and journalists. Scott specializes in securing coverage in top tier media outlets online and in top markets like New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Toronto and Los Angeles.
Cyndi Edwards, Account Director/Media Segment Host
Cyndi has hosted TV shows in both the US and Canada. Early in her career, in addition to the anchoring the news, Cyndi hosted a weekly half hour TV show that focused on the military. Her first job in the United States was hosting a live 3 hour news/ morning TV show in Philadelphia. From there she moved to Tampa where for 14 years she hosted a morning talk show syndicated in over 180 TV markets across the US.
Cyndi has spent half her life interviewing people. As a former television talk show host she's chatted with the biggest celebrities, athletes and everyday people doing extraordinary things. Over the years, Cyndi has been a spokesperson for numerous companies through 5 minute TV segments, commercials and longer form infomercials. Her knowledge of sales and easy delivery has led to many companies asking that she specifically share their message.
Lisa Bernstein, Account Director

Lisa has more than 20 years of experience as a TV Producer, and she has created, consulted and has been Executive Producer for many shows. She helped make Fox’s Good Day LA, the #1 morning show in Los Angeles during her 10 years at the show and won five Emmy Awards during her tenure. She specialized in start-up productions and launched many talk shows including, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, Donny & Marie, Queen Latifah, Roseanne and Home & Family.
Lisa has produced thousands of hours of TV and understands what producers are looking for in guests and has extensive TV contacts. She also combines her knowledge of TV with sales and continues to do special projects for HSN . Lisa was also in the garment business and has a complete understanding of selling products. Whether living in LA or Florida, you know she is a New Yorker and she is also an NYU graduate.
Brianna Swales, PR Associate
Brianna is an experienced PR professional who brings a wealth of experience in developing communications strategies to advance the goals of private and public companies. She has an intrinsic ability to quickly build strong relationships – both internally and externally – which translates to success in driving public relations programs for start-ups and established organizations.
Over the course of her career, Brianna has led award-winning public relations programs for clients in the consumer, enterprise, building and design, and health care sectors. Brianna spent more than 10 years working with tech agency PAN Communications (formerly Vantage PR). She also spent time with the University of Florida Health and Junior Achievement of Central Florida.
Ashley Dupont, Media Researcher
Ashley identifies journalists, editors, producers and bloggers who are the best potential candidates for covering targeted client stories. She evaluates story history, trends, social media posts, blogs, news sites and other sources to help establish relationships with journalists. Her strong writing skills and contributions to media relations are invaluable.
Ashley is a Millennial, an asset to our team as she searches for, and communicates with contacts in their language via their preferred platform – often social media. Ashley holds a B.A in Communications from Carleton University and has experience in researching marketing strategies, public relations and using social media to capture the attention of the media.
Jason Kidd, Web Engineer
Jason is a senior web engineer with more than 12 years of professional experience in the Information Technology sector. He holds a Computer Systems Engineering degree from Carleton University. He specializes in data-driven web application design and broadcast campaign strategies.
Kailea Guetzloff, PR Associate
Kailea is a PR Associate for PRmediaNow and a Promotions Producer for NBC's WFLA News Channel 8. She holds a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations from The University of Tampa. She specializes in market research, writing, and creating compelling news topicals for targeted audiences.
Kailea has a passion for observing, interpreting, and transmitting information through a variety of media channels. As an asset to our team, she searches for media contacts and conducts research to stay up to date on current marketing and public relations trends.
